The Greatest Investment

“Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time.”

- Jim Rohn

Time is the currency of our actions. It is the price we pay day in, and day out.  How we choose to spend it, will determine the type of life we will ultimately live. In today’s society, far too many of us will sell our most finite resource for a wage or a salary. This is understandable, as we all do what we can to get by. But, if we wish to do more than simply “get by”, we must invest this remaining time. In any given week, much of the workforce, will clock out of work, speed home, and do absolutely nothing productive. Then they will wake up the next day, and repeat the cycle. Day after day, hour after hour, doing nothing more than working to the weekend. This however, raises a great logistical issue. There are only so many weekends to be had. Whether you can comprehend it or not, one day it will be your last. For the time being, let us use that harsh reality to guide us to make the most out of life. Some may ask, how do you make the most out of life? The answer is making the best use of your time. Treat every day as a test. A test to become your greatest and most fulfilled self. At the end of every day, ask yourself. Did I do everything I possibly could, within my power, to the best of my capabilities? When you find yourself answering yes to that question, you begin to transform. You will become more fulfilled. You will gain more confidence. You will begin to become a better person. This is known as personal growth. It is a changing of habits to become a more physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually profitable version of you. But, this only happens when you change yourself for the better. Change is the constant of life, and it must be accepted or you will forever be fighting a losing battle against the waters of life. Adjust your sails to the changing currents, and be propelled to the destinations that await your arrival. Read that book. Take that class. Pursue that dream. Spend more time with your family. Associate yourself with those who will bring out the best in you. Use your time as an asset, and with the proper investment, the treasures of life will come pouring back to you exponentially. It is the small things that we invest our time into, which will ultimately give us the abundance we want and deserve. When the winds begin to blow, and the skies begin to hail, seek great wisdom as you go, and set the better sail.
